Vahid Rostami was born in Iran, in 1969. He received the B.S. degree in computer engineering from the Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1994, the M.S. degree in artificial intelligent and robotics engineering from the Azad University, the branch of Sciences and Researches, Tehran, in 2002. He was research and teacher assistant from 2002 to 2007. He then continued his study and received the Ph.D. degree in smart technology and robotics engineering from the UPM, Malaysia, in 2012. He is currently an assistant professor of Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Technology, Qazvin Islamic Azad University (QIAU), Iran. since 2012, he has been already collaborating with Mechatronics Research Laboratory(MRL) at the QIAU. His research interests are mobile robot navigation, pattern recognition, and machine vision.
